Otto’s Sausages. Reed College. Family Portraits. No, this is not a game of “One of these things is not like the other!” When speaking with Andi about the things they like doing together as a family, outings to Otto’s came up quite a bit. Going for hot dogs and sausages is one of Beth’s favorite activities. Otto’s is just up the road from their Woodstock home and is one of the reasons they so love their neighborhood. The feeling of the area and the people around are all a part of it.

We spent a fair amount of time walking around their neighborhood and enjoying the sights, feels smells of Woodstock.

Paul particularly loves the campus of Reed College, so after our walk and snack we headed over there. With the crisp air of autumn and the slightly sweet syrupy smell of fallen leaves all around us, we couldn’t resist playing in the leaves! Golden hour arrived just in time to watch Beth encourage the dancing leaves.

Though Halloween passed, we talked about what an epic score this street is when trick or treating. Andi was trying to convince us it’s worth the drive to bring Finn next year! I love this photo as a fitting end to their storytelling family photos in Woodstock. Andi and Paul, enjoying a stolen moment and Beth looking off to the side… perhaps remembering that sugar-filled day in costume.
