Pete and Danielle’s Vineyard wedding was a huge bash with a partying crowd, lit in the greens and teals and purples of a peacock feather. Earlier in the day I arrived at Port Jefferson’s quaint hotel, Danford’s where Danielle and her family and bridesmaids were very calmly getting ready in an upstairs suite. The room was packed with girls, but somehow not crazy! And that’s when I first it through the double doors. Her beautiful Romona Keveza gown hung off the mirror in the dimly lit room. Meanwhile, Joe was meeting up with Pete and the guys at their church in Selden, grabbing some group images outdoors during a momentary letup of rain.
They had a big wedding party. They had a boisterous wedding party! But it’s pretty rare for us to see so much genuine emotion, ranging from sarcastic humor to heartfelt tears in a matter of minutes. It certainly makes it easy for Joe and I to nab frame after frame. We had a great time at their engagement session last year, and caught so many personal moments, so no surprise the wedding topped it off with more!
Danielle was such a graceful bride, particularly about the very rainy day. Though you’d never know it was a gloomy day by looking at her!
And Pete, quite dapper in the gray suit!
So… I feel a whole separate blog post coming on about guest photography
Can I say how much I love Pete’s reception shoes?
We had so many favorite images from the toasts, really tried to narrow down to these two for the blog post!
I have to share this guy – love it!
And one final portrait before we left for the evening, out near the vineyard.
