We’re so excited to share Mansha and Samir’s wedding photos! When the first contacted us, we were happy to hear from another member of the family. As it turned out, Samir and Mansha enjoyed his brother’s Southeast Asian wedding photos so much he knew he had to get in touch with us to be his wedding photographer as well. With more than ten years of wedding experience under each of our belts, it seems it’s more often than not we get to see past wedding couples at our current weddings, but it never gets old! We love catching up with old friends!
We’re going to start with the first day, Mansha and Samir’s sangeet. Like Sunny and Kelsey’s wedding before them, there was much to see! Mehndi in the corner, family dance performances to start off the festivities, right on into a wild open dance party.
Samir and Mansha arrived ready to go for a few portraits before the main events began. Joe took these first couple images right outside – some of our favorites of the whole weekend!
Southeast Asian Wedding Photos
Both Samir and Mansha’s families joined together in a few dance performances to start off the evening!
The women – and even some of the men! – enjoyed mehndi application in the corner of the room as open dancing began.
Stewart Manor offered a few unique opportunities for images during the sangeet dancing.
Though there was plenty more dancing after we left, we closed with a few words from Samir’s uncle. He serenaded the couple in a first dance of sorts, but we couldn’t resist the kids circling the dance floor doing anything they could to stay awake at the late hour!
We’ll have more tomorrow of their Hindu wedding ceremony and wedding reception!
