I’m going to start out of order which I rarely do. It’s for good reason – it’s a perfect representation of Rockaway Beach wedding photos. It’s a glorious sunset. And Jessica and Vin timed their day perfectly for it. Their photos prove the effort did not go unnoticed!
Now let’s get to the rest of the day! When Joe showed up for Jessica and Vin’s Rockaway Beach wedding, he was greeted by a sign declaring “Remember… as far as anyone knows we’re a normal family.” And that pretty much set the tone of the entire day. Former clients Brian and Leigh were chatting with us before the wedding and telling Joe to be prepared for the sh*t show he was about to see, and they meant it in the best possible way. And they were right! All that said, it started out pretty calm with the girls getting ready.
Both of them cleaned up very nicely for the day! We love Jessica’s classic look and Vin’s dapper ensemble.
Hands down, though, my favorite photo of the day is Jessica with her father on the way to church. I love the emotion brimming here, and emotion never goes out of style.
Their Belle Harbor wedding ceremony, too, enjoyed plenty of emotion. Having a friend marry them really lightened up the ceremony and brought a lot of personal amounts to the foreground.

When November gives you a beautiful sunset instead of buckets of rain, you run with it! Not only did Jessica and Vin trust Joe to make some beautiful wedding portraits for them, their entire bridal party came along for the ride as well! The ladies huddling up only adds to the intimacy.
Just before heading on over to their wedding reception, they posed for one last portrait. Joe made use of their white Rolls Royce wedding transportation and included the gorgeous sunset as well. The cotton candy sky makes me want to include a #sunsetporn hashtag (such is the digital life of an avid Instagrammer!).
When one has a friend that offers to do the wedding flowers, make use of it! Their friend Chris livened up the reception decor for them.
As a wedding photographer, seeing multiple pages of a wedding toast can be scary. Vin’s best man, however, had the crowd rolling in laughter. Story after story, each better than the last.
And then began the crazy. There were so many dance floor antics we had trouble narrowing them down!
Brian and Leigh are one of our favorite past wedding couples! I’m so bummed that I didn’t get to see them again, but at least Joe had a great time catching up with them!
Seriously, it was a crazy wedding reception. There was crowd diving and all!
Oh and this guy? An actual wedding crasher. Yep, their wedding was so great it got crashed by a dude with a leopard bow tie.
